Liberty Farm Fundraiser: pictures

Thanks to everyone who came out to learn more about the Walk Ministries new rehab project, Liberty Farm. Good food, inspiring testimony from Simon Edwards and lots of exciting plans for the future. And £675 raised too.

Liberty Farm / Walk Ministries Fundraiser

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED – see you there!

We love the guys over at Walk Ministries so when we heard that they are working towards opening a drug and alcohol rehab centre right here in Stoke-on-Trent, we wanted to help. So come and join us on Saturday 16th April, 7pm for a night of Mexican food and deep inspiration.

Simon Edwards will be telling us some of the story of Walk Ministries so far, and all about their hopes and plans for Liberty Farm.

It is a ticketed event, so please get yours ASAP as we expect to be full!

Menu:

To start: Nachos with salsa

To follow: Fajitas with chicken, guacamole, smoked vegetables, soured cream and Mexican rice.

To finish: Fruit pies and ice cream

We are only charging £5 per person, so that no-one will be put off by the expense. This is a fundraising event however, so feel free to give more!

Another great breakfast at the Toby Carvery, Festival Park.

Road Closures on 28th Feb!

There is a major running event happening around the Hanley Park area on 28th February. As a result, lots of local roads will be closed. The closures begin at 9:30am. According to the council, the closures will only be long enough to allow the runners to pass. Our advice is to arrive before 9:30am if you can, or at least leave a bit earlier to give yourself time to find an alternative route if necessary. You may have to park in a different part of Shelton to normal. The Thomas Boughey Centre car park is available, off Cauldon Road.

More parking ideas here.

Church lunch

Eating together is always fun. This lunch was laid on mostly by Brian to say thank you to the church for helping him through his recent hospital stay.

Kwl Kids go Racing

Kwl Kids (our younger youth club) recently took a trip out to the North Staffordshire Scalextric Racing Club, in Longton. Great fun!
