Our church have booked Cloverley Hall in Shropshire for our church holiday in 2017. Church holidays are a truly wonderful opportunity to form deeper relationships with one another. Those who’ve attended in the past have greatly benefited, spiritually, emotionally and physically and have formed lasting friendships.

The grounds

The grounds are extensive and very well cared for. There’s a rose garden, many magnificent trees and peaceful woodland to explore. It’s very safe for children because the main road is down a very long driveway.

Sports / games facilities

The outdoor heated pool will become an indoor pool before we arrive. There are plenty of other games and sports facilities too. We plan to organise a few activities while we’re there: tennis and table tennis competitions, football and volleyball, and some sort of “manhunt” game for those feeling energetic.

The bedrooms at Cloverley are being upgraded all the time. It’s likely that we will have a mixture of newly refurbished and older rooms. Some of the rooms are en-suite and some have shared (mostly brand new) bathrooms. Either way, the rooms are clean and warm and you won’t want to spend time in them because there’s so much else to do!

The ground floor accessible rooms will be refurbished in 2017 and 2 new lifts are being fitted to make access to the first floor and meeting rooms easier. Check with us if you would depend on these as we’re not quite sure when the work will be finished.

We have 3 meetings planned with Bernard Thompson speaking. He and his wife Chris are old friends of Park, Bernard having been pastor a LONG time ago! He and Chris love to talk and pray with people and are great fun to have around.

There is a creche room equipped with various toys. This will be open during the 3 sessions, plus at other times if needed.

There are various lounges available if you just want to curl up on a comfy sofa on your own with a book, or to spend some time in quiet prayer.
